Meet Dr. Paul Rolfes

What drew me to orthodontics was the analytical nature of the treatment, combined with the impact it has on each patient’s self-esteem. As an orthodontist, it brings me great satisfaction helping patients achieve their best possible smile. Additionally, because orthodontics treatments often take one to two years, it allows me to form a genuine connection with patients as we progress through treatment.

Education:

After finishing dental school, I served in the Navy as a general dentist and was able to take care of our sailors and their families while spending time in Florida and Japan. After completing my service, I completed an orthodontic residency and have been transforming smiles ever since.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Saint John’s University
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) University of Minnesota School of Dentistry
  • Master in Public Health (MPH), University of Minnesota School of Public Health
  • Master of Science in Dentistry, University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine

When coming up with a patient’s treatment plan, there is no one-size fits all solution for patients. Each patient needs an individualized treatment plan, and we pride ourselves on doing detailed analysis of each patient to design an individualized approach that addresses the patient’s concerns and results in a stable occlusion.

In practice, we treat a wide range of conditions using all available treatment modalities: from complex surgical cases to early intervention in children, as well as Invisalign treatments (for adults or children) and everything in between.

Born and raised in Saint Paul, I am glad to be back in the Twin Cities, serving in the community that raised me. My wife is also from the Twin Cities, and we have two young kids. When not lining up teeth, I enjoy most outdoor activities, from hiking to mountain biking to gardening.
